Your dental health is always our priority at Integrated Dental Arts. Because the holidays are quickly approaching, we wanted to remind our patients of some essential dental care information to ensure everyone maintains the healthiest versions of their smiles. Learn more below:
Use Your Insurance Benefits
As the year is soon to end, it’s important to utilize your dental insurance benefits before the new year. That means that now would be a good time to go ahead and schedule your next preventative care appointment before your calendar begins to fill with holiday plans. Remember: use them or lose them! Dr. Benson is an “in-network provider” with several insurance companies. We also accept all major Dental PPO plans and will gladly file for you. All you have to do is pay your portion at the time of service. This gives our patients the unique advantage of not having to rely on what an insurance provider will or will not cover as we develop your treatment plan. If you have any questions, we encourage you to call the office and speak to one of our patient care coordinators.
Brush & Floss
We understand this is a particularly busy time of year. With gifts to wrap, decor to hang, and socially-distant gatherings to attend, it’s important to make time for yourself. Remember to brush and floss your teeth at least twice a day. You should also follow up any snacks or beverages that are known for being tough on your teeth with a thorough oral hygiene routine. Some holiday favorites like cranberry sauce, red wine, and blueberry pie are notorious for leaving behind staining agents on your dental structures. The longer these residues are allowed to remain on your teeth, the more likely you are to suffer from tooth discoloration. Make sure you practice moderation when enjoying smile-staining snacks.
Consider Cosmetic Dentistry
The holidays are the perfect time to give yourself the gift of your dream smile. Cosmetic dentistry services allow you to do just that. With cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Benson can address issues such as missing teeth, chipped teeth, and stained teeth. Our teeth whitening services are very popular during this time of year. Whether you want to look your best for the upcoming family dinners or you want to revitalize your smile after enjoying some of your favorite holiday snacks, we are here to help. At Integrated Dental Arts, we offer patients the option of in-office or take-home teeth whitening solutions by Opalescence. Both treatments can erase years of stains and restore a more youthful look. Our doctors look forward to providing you with the cosmetic dentistry services that you deserve. Please schedule an appointment online, and we look forward to seeing you soon.
